Plot

Petha Parumal and Pandi are a happily married couple. The only thing that they miss is the presence of a child. This also causes mayhem in both the household and the society. Will Petha Parumal bow down to the society, or will he continue to fight them for his beloved Pandi?

Star Performances

For all the flaws of this film, Dhirav G did one thing good: deliver a solid performance in terms of acting.

His chemistry with Ismath Banu is not only great, it also tries to make up for the other flaws of this movie.

Analysis

Social pressure is something every Indian has faced once. When it comes to bearing children, the situation takes a turn for the worse. How does ‘Veppam Kulir Mazhai’ tackle this problem?

The story of this movie is simple: A couple hasn’t born a child, and the society makes fun of it. The protagonist’s family is ready to abandon the woman, but the protagonist is not ready to give up. Who will win?

The idea behind this film was noble, and Dhirav G has done a great job of showing the problems faced by childless couples in the society. The movie has great relevance His chemistry with Ismath Banu is equally phenomenal. The supporting cast of the movie also does an impressive job.

The cinematographers of this movie have also done a great job. The visuals lend a rustic charm to this movie. Yet, this film doesn’t appear as a complete package. What is the reason for this?

Some can say the editing was not upto the mark. However, the main reason is the lack of a crisp narrative. The idea, which was brilliant on paper, didn’t reflect the same in terms of execution. The first half charm was lost by the time the second half began, and in some places, the sequences had no connection with the original story at all.
