Swarnamayooram is a mega serial which was telecasted on Asianet television channel in the year 2006.The popular serial covered an intense story in 130 episodes. The show was aired five days a week from Monday to Friday. Swarnamayooram was primetime soap for Asianet TV channel during the telecast period.
Swarnamayooram mainly focused on the story of two ladies Seetalakshmi and Krishnaveni and their relationship with each other. Krishnaveni and Seetalakshmi shared a very close friendship. The love, affection and care they had for each other been regarded as much more than that of real sisters. As per the story line, a very theatrical incident in their lives brought about a huge alteration in their strong bond. The story forward was full of suspense, intense moments and dramatic situations. It includes the topic of 'one-night-stands’ which was previously never handled by the Malayalam television serials.
