Fastest Family First is a reality game show that succeeds in capturing viewers’ attention. The premise of the show is very simple yet very unique. The show takes the idea of a quiz show and makes it a game of the team. The show invites a group of two families. The two families are pitted against each other by the host of the show who asks questions. The family to answer the given questions first wins the show and takes home the prize money with them. The show has several rounds and the winner of the show is decided based on these rounds by calculating the cumulative points earned by a family in all rounds. This idea for a family quiz show has never been seen on television and which is the reason behind the wild popularity of the show.
The teams in appearing in the show must comprise of a parent and a child. The show airs on the channel Asianet TV at 8 pm every Monday to Thursday. The show Fastest Family First airs on this channel, replacing another hit quiz show called ‘Show me the answer’. The show is hosted by the popular actor GP aka Govinda Padamasurya. GP is a popular television and movie figure in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut in 2008 in a film called Atayalangal which was directed by M.G. Sasi. He then became quite popular because of hosting some popular television shows like D 4 Dance. He has also directed a feature film for the channel Asianet TV for their 25th-anniversary celebration. The presence of the actor as a host on Fastest Family First roped in great numbers resulting in the show being successful.
