The show revolves around the lives of four spirited young men and their struggles to gain success. The four main characters - George, Lolan, Shibu, and Shambu are roommates, with three of them being unemployed B.Tech graduates and Shibu being the only employed one.

The series spanned 20 episodes, starting with the premiere episode titled Ithaanu Avastha (Translated to This is the Situation) on July 21, 2018, and concluding with the finale episode titled Ivide theerunilla (Translated to It doesn't end here) on March 23, 2019. Following the season finale, on July 7, 2019, the Karikku team publicized their choice to produce a movie based on the show called Thera Para - The Movie by distributing a motion poster on YouTube. The narrative rotates around four companions - George, an unemployed BTech graduate; Lolan, who is having an online affair with Ashwathy Achu; Shambu, a tech wizard; and Shibu, a 12th pass-out who is the only one with a job and maintains the other three. They face numerous troubles but still figure out solutions.

The cast includes Anu K Aniyan as George, Shabareesh Sajjin as Lolan, Binoy John as Shibu, Anand Mathews as Shambhu, Jeevan Stephen as Francis, Kiran Viyyath as Krishna Kumar aka K.K., Arjun Ratan as "Scene" Britto, Sneha Babu as Archana Achu, Unni Mathews as Hari, Krishna Chandran as Baby, Amal Thaha as Sreesanth, and Sebastian Sebootty as Sreekumar. The show revolves around four friends - George, Lolan, Shibu, and Shambhu - who are roommates. George, Lolan, and Shambhu are unemployed BTech graduates, while Shibu is the only one with a job.

In the initial episode, George is preparing for a job interview. Lolan seems to be romancing a girl named Achu online. Shambhu is shown to be technically skilled. Meanwhile, Shibu is secretive about his job. George attends the interview, but it goes poorly as his resume accidentally contains Lolan's notes about his romance with Achu. This infuriates George, and he fights with Lolan upon returning.

Later, George's father suggests that Shibu could refer George to his company, but Shibu evades questions about his job. This makes George and others suspicious about what Shibu does for a living. So the main plot focuses on the struggles of three educated yet unemployed young men trying to find jobs while also depicting their quirky living situation and relationships. The mystery around Shibu's job adds an element of intrigue.
