Dhanya Pilo

Dhanya Pilo is a filmmaker based in Mumbai. She was born in 1980 in the small town of Kottayam, Kerala, India. She is also a space designer, catalyst, Urban designer, photographer, and visual consultant. She owns a website named after her, which provides various services related to Pilo's work and knowledge. She runs a studio, Studio Pilo, which has produced a film named- Precipitate. Miss Pilo was the director of this film. It was a short film with a mystery touch. She has completed her graduation from the prestigious St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, BA in Economics, The National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, in film and video design, and the Strelka Institute for Media, Architecture, and Design (Moscow). Miss Pilo learned how to use rifles in 1997.

In 2007 she founded 'The Wall Project', which is about creativity. It shows how small spaces are filled by adding colors, form, and texture to an area, and making it more exciting and attractive. This project aims to start a conversation with no political, social, or religious matter of thought. She is also voted for 'The Mumbai HotList'. She has traveled to many countries, including Russia and Srilanka. In 2018, she gave a TEDx talk, and in the same year, she founded Algorave India. Her work and interest are all about video Jockeying. She is the founder of Decoy. She started VJ-ing in 2006. She was part of the international VJ collective AETHERR09.
