Nekheeb Sha

Nekheeb Sha is a talented and well-known drummer from Kochi, Kerala. He finished his undergraduate from St. Joseph EMHS, in Thrikkakara in 2008. After this, he continued his studies at MG University and then joined Evans School of Music and Trinity College of Music, London, to pursue his postgraduate in music. Continuing his journey of music, he joined the band “Perfect Equation,” which started in Kochi in 2012. Five members were the foundation of this band, of which Nekheeb Sha was a prominent member as a drummer.

Initially, it was a team that used to play music for their pleasure, but they realized that they had a story that they had to express in the form of music, with which they started writing songs based on their stories. Over the years, the band narrated and performed their stories in some of the major cities in South India. Nekheeb has also been a drummer in the TOTO Club. He is also a drummer in “Mushroom Lake'' which is a post-rock band from Thrissur, formed in February 2011.

The band composes instrumental music influenced by many genres. The main idea of the band is to create vocal-less rhythms that build up the mood slowly and enable the listeners to go with the tunes of the music for a longer time. Nekheeb has proved himself as a valuable asset to this band by helping them achieve their core idea of instrumental music. He has also started his own drum and percussion academy called “Groove Lab'' which provides online and offline drum lessons. His impressive journey in music proves him to be a talented young musician who has achieved a lot at a young age in his life.
