Vinu Narayanan is a scriptwriter in the Malayalam entertainment industry. He completed his schooling at Marthoma Seminary High School, Kottayam (1988), and pursued higher education at Kerala Press Academy, Kakkanad, Kochi (1994). Born in Kottayam, Kochi, Narayanan lives in Thiruvalla, India. He works as a screenwriter in Malayalam movies, including The Fire, Virus, Kerala Police, Keralotsavam(2009), and Kasthooriman(2017). He has also written scripts for a few Malayalam serials as well. Before working as a scriptwriter, Narayanan worked as an associate director in movies and second unit director in television serials (1995-2009); he was also a Portal Editor at DC books Kottayam for four years (2012-2016). He has earlier worked as chief sub-editor in the online portal enmalayalam.com, Calicut, and as sub-editor in Mangalam weekly, Kottayam.
