Sreesankhya

Being a star kid is never comfortably taken by anyone in the cinema industry. It was no different for the debutant actress, Sreesankhya. Hailing from the very highly praised family filled with talented artists, Sreesankhya always has felt the pressure to be perfect all the time. Born to the incredibly skillful late actress, Kalpana, who along with her brilliant sisters, Urvashi and Kalaranjini, had impressed the film audience of the whole South India by their authentic performances, Sreesankhya did not have the urge of getting into this world until she finished her schooling. Sreesankhya is graduated with a Visual Communication degree, and immediately after that she was offered the role of Kunjiyamma, who is a 40-year mother of five children in the Malayalam flick ‘Kunjiyammayum Anchumakkalum.’ The one fact that people are unaware of this beautiful lady is that her real name is Srimayi, and the reason why, she changed her name was her grandmother. She felt Sreesankhya would be easily accepted by this change of name. Her aunt, Urvashi has claimed that out of three sisters, Kalpana was the most hardworking, and would do any part with ease and she believes that Sreesankhya too has a better future just like her mother.
