She has an older sister named Parvathi Nandan. Lekshmy Nandan moved to Bahrain for some years and attended The New Indian School and Indian School in Bahrain. Upon returning to Kerala, she resumed her schooling at Sabarigiri Residential School in Anchal. In 2019, she finished her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Mar Thoma College of Science and Technology. Later, she pursued her post-graduate diploma in aviation, hospitality, travel, and customer services from Frankfinn Institute of Air hostess Training in Trivandrum.

While studying in Trivandrum, Lekshmy Nandan got the opportunity to work as an anchor in Kerala Kaumudi. She hosted the show named Ladies corner in Kerala Kaumudi for some time. Simultaneously, Lekshmy Nandan worked as a Guest Service Representative in Sri Mulam Club in Kerala. She got to meet many new people and refers to that period as a turning point in her life. Growing up, Lekshmy Nandan always aspired to become an actress. She also appeared in a short film and a couple of cover songs. That’s when she a production company approached her to star in a television serial. Reluctant at the beginning, she eventually took part in the auditions and got selected.
