During the press conference, Manju Warrier said, "I am lucky enough to associate with Kavalam Sir during his last phase. He trained me for the theatrical play, Abhijnana Shakuntalam. I would not have undertaken this challenge, without the support and encouragement by Kavalam Sir. He wished to bring Abhijnana Shakuntalam to the stage again. Although he is not with us now, his family and I felt that it is our duty to fulfill his wish and we wanted to stage the play again and tribute it to him.
