' passed away yesterday, July 14, 2015 in Chennai at the age of 87. His death leaves the fans and the film industry in melancholy.
MS Viswanathan or commonly known as Mellisai Mannar or MSV by the Tamil films, have undergone treatment at the Fortis Malar Hospital due to old-age illness and he also has a breathing problem. Until last Tuesday, he breathed his last. The composer who was born in Palakkad, Kerala became a theatre actor, singer and composer in Tamil and Malayalam films. In his entire career, he composed songs in over 1,200 South Indian films.
MSV was associated with composer and violinist, TR Ramamurthy until 1960 and their duo was considered as one of the most creative of all time. He also worked with lyricist and poet, '
