This movie is Simon kuruvila’s second movie after 9KK road. Our nalla kottayamkaran is a movie based on the real-life of PU Thomas. The real name of PU Thomas is Navajeevan Thomas Chetan, Chetan means big brother in Malayalam and P.U Thomas was a ray of hope and support like a big brother for the Keralites all over the world. He is the founder of the Navajeevan trust. Thomas has an altruistic personality and has devoted his life to helping people in need, his trust provides humanitarian services to poor people, mentally and physically challenged people and homeless people. His trust provides food, security, hospital treatment and shelter to people in need irrespective of cast or religious bias. When Thomas was young, he would tend the garden in a medical college and would distribute the leftover food from the hostel to the needy. His monthly salary was 150 rupees and out of this, he would spend 5 rupees to buy medicines for the poor patients coming to the medical college hospital. This movie is based on the life and good deeds of such an amazing man.

Star Performance

The actors have outshined in their performance and have managed to capture the essence of P.U Thomas and the people around him. The director has done a good job compiling the script and finding the actors that could work together for the script and make it a memorable movie.

Analysis

This movie is a beautifully made movie about a legendary man from Kerala, Navajeevan Thomas. It is hard to find good people in this time and Navajeeven Thomas is an exemplary man way ahead of his time, his motto in life is that nobody should go to sleep hungry or without a roof on their head. He has dedicated his life to helping people all over India and providing them with shelter, food and security. This movie is a beautiful movie about a revolutionary man. The actors have done a good job portraying their characters and the movie has a good script.

Verdict

The movie was worth every penny and time, such a memorable family watcher! It is nevertheless an underrated movie, but the youth of our time should watch a movie like this with a moral behind it. A must-watch for people of all ages.
