David Gelb, who was born in Manhattan, New York City, the USA, is the son of Peter Gelb and Grandson of Arthur Gelb. David’s father, Peter Gelb, was the general manager of Metropolitan Opera. David attended Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in NYC. He stood second in New York City-wide English Speaking Union’s Shakespeare Monologue Competition. David Gelb is an American Director and Producer. Film called “Lethargy” was David’s first release in 2002. The show (documentary) called Chef’s Table (2015) is the one, in which each episode is an hour long version of Jiro Dreams of Sushi but related to different chefs and each with a different kind of personal story. David is the director of this show.
