He has even written screenplays for his movies, Love and other Drugs, The Siege, The Last Samurai. He has even written a few episodes of thirtysomething, Quarterlife. He has written the story for the movies Extreme Close-up and Special Bulletin. He was also a story editor for six episodes of the TV series The Family. Glory was appreciated by critics and he won a Golden Globe award for the movie.
