Steven Spielberg is an American producer, director, and scriptwriter. He is one of the most honored and the most efficient filmmakers of Hollywood. During his childhood his family used to migrate a lot, his major youth life was spent in Arizona. The series was a hit one who gave him a lot of appreciation making him one of the successful directors. His movies were always experimental and based on various topics and themes. In 1994, he formed the Dreamworks SKG studio along with David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg. In 2005, it was changed to Paramount Pictures. In 2000, his movies were mainly based on the concepts of sci-fi and adventure. Movies like Minority Report in 2002, Munich in 2005 were based on these concepts. In 2006, he produced movies like Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of Our Fathers. In 2008, he teamed up with George Lucas for Indiana Jones sagas latest installment. He was worked in Adventures of Tintin an animated movie which was based on the comic Hergé. The movie received six appreciations in the Academy Award. In 2012, he directed the movie Lincoln which was a biopic President Abraham Lincoln. The role was played by Daniel Day-Lewis; Sally Field played the role of Mary Todd Lincoln. The movie was very much appreciated making up with twelve nominations in the Oscars, and winning two. He has even directed many television series like Falling Skies, Terra Nova, Extant, and Smash. In 2015, he was an executive producer for Jurassic World. The movie was a huge blockbuster and had broken all records. He has been honored with three Oscar s in his lifetime. He won the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award in 1986. In 2004, he was appreciated with Lifetime Achievement Award for Directors Guild. In 2015, he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, which considered as the nation’s highest civilian respect. He got married twice. His first wife was Amy Irving with whom he had a son. His second marriage was with Kate Capshaw. The couple has five children and two stepchildren.
