Essie Davis

Essie Davis is also known as Esther is an Australian singer and actress. Essie was brought up in the Hobart. She was the daughter of George Davis, who worked as a local artist. She completed her schooling from Clarence High School and later went to Rosny College. She was a member of Old Nick Company at the University of Tasmania. In 1992 she graduated from (NIDA) the National Institute of Dramatic Art which is in Sydney. She began her acting career with the Bell Shakespeare organization when she finished her graduation from NIDA. She first appeared as Juliet in the 1993 composition of stage show Romeo and Juliet. After her good work on this, she further appeared in stage shows like Richard II, Hamlet, The Taming of the Shrew and Macbeth.

All these movies were released back to back in 1993 and 1994. She appeared on the big screen with the movie Dad and Dave: On Our Selection, an Australian movie in 1995.
