Merenla Imsong

Merenla Imsong is a theater artist, comedian cum designer from Nagaland. She was brought up in Kohima. Merenla did her graduation in Zoology at Hans Raj College, Delhi University. After completing her graduation, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the movie industry. She has been working as an assistant designer in a design studio in South Mumbai. During her childhood, Merenla started mimicking people and from there she developed her talent. However, she loved to become a scientist, when she was a kid. After she is confident about her mimicking talent, she decided to pursue it.

Merenla loves to be a theater artist and she prefers stage performance over any other interest of hers. Since 2015, she had been in the theatre industry. Merenla Imsong had not only played in the ads, but in some TV commercials. When she was adored for her performance, she got a call to play the lead in the TV commercial. She played the designer in the commercial and from there, she developed her interest in designing. She honed up her managerial skills.

Merenla’s debut mimicry video on social media was received well by the audience. Merenla always believes that comedy or mimicry should be natural, if comedy is forced into anything, it will not work out.
