Manish Mehrotra

Manish Mehrotra (born 20 January 1974) is an Indian chef. He was born in Patna, Bihar. He studied at St.Xavier’s High School, Patna, and later did his high schooling from New Era Public School, New Delhi, and graduated from The Institute of Hotel Management, Mumbai. He started his journey as the Kitchen Management Trainee for the Taj Group of Hotels, where he mastered the art of pan Asian cuisine. He soon joined Old World Hospitality's Oriental Octopus, where he traveled around Asia to train in Pan Asian Cuisine. 

Mehrotra has won numerous prestigious awards, which includes Foodistan, a television cooking game show by NDTV GoodTimes, Vir Sanghvi Award, best chef of 2010 and 2012, Chef of the year- Living foods Powerlist awards 2016, Chef of the year- Eazydiner Foodie Award 2017, Culinary Excellence- Hello Hall of Fame 2018, and No.1 Chef in India- The Economic Times 2018.  Mehrotra was also invited as a guest chef at Master chef India in 2015.  Mehrotra is the Corporate Chef, Luxury Dining for 'Old World Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. in 2000' and is the head of the kitchens of Indian Accent in New Delhi, Oriental Octopus in New Delhi, and Lavasa.

His restaurant Indian Accent has been awarded the Best Restaurant in India award at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, the list published by UK-based William Reed Business Media, the seventh time in a row. Indian Accent provides an innovative approach towards Indian Cuisine. Chef Manish Mehrotra has specially designed the extraordinary menu at Indian Accent. Manish has been called the most exciting modern Indian chef in the world today.
