Shamsher Singh is one such world-class journalist in India who does comprehensive justice to a journalist’s real definition. Shamsher Singh marked his presence on earth on 7 October 1966 in Purnea District, Bihar, India. Since 1996, Shamsher has been helping the nation with his excellent journalism. He has worked with prominent news channels like Aaj Tak, India TV, and ZEE Media Network.

Shamsher was one of the few selected for BRICS Media Summit 2015 in Moscow, Russia. In 2018, he was appointed as an editor at Republic Bharat and has also launched his channel. Shamsher says his ground reporting is his actual power. A few instances are around to prove his statement right, and these are, on 14 March 2011, Shamsher became the first journalist in India to cover the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster in Japan.

On 18 December 2009, he covered and reported from the UN Climate Change Summit, Copenhagen. The most commendable reporting of Shamsher was in August 2018, when described from the site of Kadhmal Riots in Odisha following which, his bravery was awarded Ramnath Goenka Award for the on-spot reporting in 2010. Shamsher is an irresistible journalist and his plethora of contributions has given journalism a new height.
