Kamlesh K Mishra was born in Gopalganj, India, to the Late Mr. Ramesh Mishra and the Late Mrs. Jiya Mishra. He Studied at Eden High School, Hathwa, and after that, he graduated from Bihar University and post-graduation with a PG Diploma in Mass Communications, YMCA, New Delhi. Kamlesh K Mishra is an Indian Film Movie Director, Producer, and Writer. He is based in Mumbai, working independently in audio-visual media in Mumbai and Delhi for several years.

After a successful and fulfilling stint in both print and audio-visual media, he has now set to add another dimension to this intellectually creative journey. Kamlesh K Mishra is a Writer-Director of the 66th National Film Award-winning film Madhubani: The Station of Colors. The film won the National Film Award (The only official film award given by Govt. of India) for best narration in the feature category. With the 80-minute documentary Delhi Riots: A Tale of Burn & Blame, streaming on Voot, the long-time journalist in Kamlesh still breathes as he directs documentaries and travel shows to paint an accurate picture of society. Kamlesh’s next will be his debut feature film, Azamgarh.

The result, he hopes, will be thought-provoking cinema, which will be entertaining, too. His first short, a film titled Kitaab, is still gaining lots of critic’s acclamation. This film has been selected in over 40 National / International Film Festivals and received over 20 awards in different categories. Kitaab is moving around the increasing impact of electronic gadgets on our book-reading habits.
