Muthuvel Karunanidhi Alagiri is an Indian politician. He was born on the 30th of January 1950. He was born and bought up in Tamil Nadu, India. He is the son of the former chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi. His mother is the second wife of his father and is known by the name of Dayalu Ammal. She was the head of the South Zone of Dravida Munnetra Kazagham up to the year 2014. Alagiri was a Union Cabinet Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, for almost 4 years, that is, 13 June 2009 to 20 March 2013.
Back in the year 1972, he tied a knot to Gandhi Alagiri. They have three children, named, Dayanidhi Azhagiri, Anjugaselvi, and Kayalvizhi.
