The American movie ‘ Hereafter’ hit the screens in 2010. The movie is intertwined with fantasy. Clint Eastwood is the movie’s director. Peter Morgan directed the movie. Steven Spielberg produced the movie. The movie depicts the story of three people, and thus there are three parallel storylines running through the movie. The three of them share problems dealing with death. Matt Damon does the role of George, Cecile de France does the role of Marie, Frankie and George McLaren do the roles of twins Marcus and Jason. The supporting roles are done by Jay Mohr, Thierry Neuvic, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Lyndsey Marshal.

Plot: Three people share one thing in common. Death happens to be the cause for worry in all these three people. There are three perspectives on the subject. But, death proves intriguing to them in different ways. George is a construction laborer who belongs to San Francisco and is a clairvoyant who can speak to the dead. Marie Lelay is a French reporter who has mystic experience after a close shave with death in 2004 tsunami in the Indian Ocean that wreaked havoc. There is yet another character, that of a schoolboy who loses a near and dear one. All of these people take up a spiritual quest after their dealing with death. The movie deals with the unreleased mystery of death.

The movie’s opening is tremendous. The audiences can feel the goose pimples while witnessing the recreation of Tsunami on screen. The movie’s effects are wonderful. But, one could be seen glancing at his watch as the rest of the movie unfolds. Many media people have mistaken the movie for a science fiction. Resultantly, the message dealing with death is lost. Clint East wood deserves applauses for his efforts. There are interesting scenes that occur now and then during the movie’s course.

Verdict: The movie is a quality entertainer for audiences and would be a treat for the weekend.
