Shreya Ghoshal, one of the most famous singers in Bollywood today, was born on March 12th, 1984, in Berhampore, West Bengal. Her father Biswajit Ghoshal is an electrical engineer and mother Sharmistha Ghoshal is a postgraduate in literature. She started singing since the age of 4 when her mother taught her. She started her formal training in Hindustani classical Gharana of music when she was only six years old. She was trained for 18 months after which she continued her training in Mumbai with Late Mukta Bhideji. She completed her graduation in Arts with majors in English. Her first on-stage performance was at their club’s annual function. Her first studio album was in Bengali in 19998 and was named Bendhechhi Beena, and her first onscreen performance was in Awaz Nayi Andaaz Wohi. In 1995, she became the winner of All India Light Vocal Music Competition. Her fame and career began with her winning a television singing reality show named Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Athmeeya Rajan was pursuing B.Sc. Nursing when she got her first offer for a movie by Seven Arts Mohan. Hailing from the district of Kannur in Kerala, Athmeeya has acted in five films in the last five years since her debut in 2012. She started her career as an actress from a Tamil movie titled ‘Manam Kothi Paravai,’ opposite actor Sivakarthikeyan. The film got released on 1st June 2012 and was directed by Ezhil. Even though acting was not a career preference for her, she was interested enough to accept the offer. She kept her acting on hiatus to complete her studies, after which she took up film offers one after another.

Alphy Panjikaran is an Indian actress acting in Malayalam Film Industry. She is called Alphy by most of her friends. Her father’s name is Thomas, and her mother’s name is Molly. She has a brother whose name is Kamal Panjikaran and an elder sister named Deepa Panjikaran. She has B.E and M.Tech (CSE) degrees. She went to Sengunthar College of Engineering in Kumaramangalam, Kerala. Her hobbies are singing, dancing, and painting. She is from Angamaly, Kerala. She is currently staying in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Devi Ajith is a famous Malayalam TV actress who acted in some very popular TV soaps since the last two decades. Before establishing her career in serials, Devi was famous as an anchor and VJ on various shows. After taken a long break from TV shows and serials Devi Ajith is back now with a stipulated role in V.K Prakash critically acclaimed movie 'Trivandrum Lodge' with a character named Zarina. She is also famous for her hosting show 'Paatu Petti' which was aired by Asianet. 

Devi Ajith did her schooling from Nirmala Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram and done graduation in Law from Kerala Law Academy. She hailed from a very strict conservative family and both her parents were educationists. While doing anchoring in a TV show, director Shyama Prasad spotted Devi and offered her a role in his upcoming serial 'Manal Nagaram' which was based on the story of Dubai Malayalees and their culture. The first break in serials gave Devi chances to act further few teleserials with veteran director Adam Ayub's 'Sthree Parvam Navam' and with Shajiyem on 'Nakshatrangal Ariyathe'. Further she got an opportunity to work in a Malayalam Film 'Seetha Kalyanam' alongside Jayaram, Jyothika, and Geethu Mohandas. But the film got much delayed on making and finally it released on 2009. 

She also acted in 'Ivar' the first Malayalam movie to shot purely in handy cam on locations. Along with TV serials, she also acted in few Short Films. Among the short films, the famous one was 'Cupid' directed by Sohan. It brings her four awards in various film festivals on the best performance. She also did Short Film for Rajesh Pillai (Traffic fame) named as 'Arikil Oraal Koode'.

Devi Ajith got arrested once by Kerala Police for Drunk and Drive but released soon by no complaint registered. But the video on police interrogation with the actress went viral with social media. Devi Ajith is staying now in Thiruvananthapuram with her husband Col. Ashok Vasudevan and their daughter.

Lakshmi Priya is a well-known name who established herself in the Malayalam showbiz industry with her natural acting skills and her humorous anecdotes. She was first seen on television and then moved into films. She was passionate about acting since childhood but came to the industry after her marriage with Jayesh. Her father-in-law had acquaintances in the movie industry who guided her to notable directors. She first acted in a television serial for Amrita TV, Aranazhika Neram directed by Shivamohan Thampy, which bagged many awards in 2012. 

She made her movie debut through Mohanlal starrer, and Joshiy directed movie Naran. She played the character of Pushpa, sister to Actress Bhavana’s character and a divorcee with one child. She had very little to perform in that movie, but her acting got well noticed. She did another movie with the same team as the sister of actor Dileep in Lion. She also did two movies with the late director A.K. Lohithadas, Chakkaramuthu, and Nivedyam, in comedy roles which was a break from the stereotyped roles she did so far. Her actual Break happened through director Sathyan Anthikkad movie, Bhagyadevatha featuring as Jayaram’s sister. The movie was a hit and her role got noticed.

Another hit was again with Sathyan Anthikkad movie, Kadha Thudarunnu where she featured as a brave orphan girl who helps the lead actress in finding a living. So far she has acted in more than 65 movies appearing mostly in comic roles and character roles. But Lakshmi Priya expects that she will get good roles that would remain with the audience, than acting in many numbers of movies.

Other than movies Lakshmi Priya is a dancer. She is trained in classical dances like Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kathakali, and Ottanthullal. She was also a Kalathilakam during her school days. She is married to Jayesh, an employee at Manorama news. His father was a singer who was singing for theatre plays, and he continues his father’s legacy by starting a music school in Thrissur. They are now settled in Thrissur.

Mallika Sukumaran is a yesteryear actress who debuted in 1974 in the movie Uttarayanam directed by G. Aravindan. She was born in 1954 in Haripad, Alappuzha district, Kerala. She married the late actor Sukumaran in the year 1979 and withdrew from the film industry to devoted her time for her family until her husband’s death in 1997.

She made a comeback with a K.K. Rajeev Teleserial Paithozhiyathe with notable actors like Thilakan and Jayabharathi. After that she did not have to look back, she continued acting in many serials portraying both positive and negative characters. Some of her noted serials during that time were Valayam, Sthree Oru Santhwanam, Snehadooram, American dreams, Porutham, and Harichandanam. She was appreciated for her performance of evil mother-in-law in Sthree Oru Santhwanam. Even while portraying negative characters she surprised the audience with her humorous side in serials like Indhumukhi Chandramathi costarring Manju Pillai in Surya TV, which was a great hit at that time. She also judged a reality show in Kairali TV, Amma Ammayiyama.

She also started to work in movies and have done many character roles with many prominent directors. In the movie Ammakilikoodu, her role as Saramma, an inmate in an old age home, who had been a head constable during her prime years was very much appreciated. In the movie, she shared the screen space with her son Prithviraj Sukumaran and many notable actresses like Kaviyoor Ponnamma and KPAC Lalitha. She has done many more movies like Romeo, Calendar, Ammanilavu, Thirakkatha, Chotta Mumbai and the latest one is Njanum Ente Familiyum.

She has two sons who are well-known Actors in Malayalam film industry, Indrajith, and Prithviraj. Her Eldest daughter-in-law Poornima is an actress and a Fashion Designer and her younger daughter-in-law Supriya worked as BBC correspondent from Mumbai. She has three grandchildren with whom she likes to spend most of her time. She was honored with Kerala state award for supporting actress in Swapanadanam in 1974.

Sajan Kalathil is an Indian cinematographer known for his work in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on 28th December 1969 in Changanacherry. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from SB College. After graduation, he went on to study filmmaking from the Film and Television Institute of India. He started his career by working in Prof Sivaprasad’s ‘Bheri’ in 2002. After that, he continued to work as the Director of Photography in movies like - ‘Paathi,’ ‘Parudeesa,’ ‘The desire: a journey of a woman,’ ‘Flash,’ ‘Swayam,’ etc.

Anil Panachooran is an eminent film lyricist in Malayalam cinema. He is a lawyer by profession but even lives on the income from his lyrical and poetic work in cinema. Many of his songs have romantic themes and are liked by audiences. 
Anil was born in Kayakulam on 20 November 1965. The singer completed his studies from Kerala Law Academy Law College in Thiruvananthapuram and Kakatiya University in Warangal. He shot to popularity with film ‘Arabikkatha’ which was directed by Lal Jose in the year 2007. This was his first assignment in his career. He wrote some prominent lines in the lyrics of the song ‘Chora Veena Mannil Ninnum’ which established him in cine world. His next assignment was the film ‘Kadha Parayumbol’ by M. Mohanan. He wrote lines such as ‘Vyathyasthanamoru Barbaram Balane’ in this film that was sung by Pradeep Palluruthy. 

Hari Narayanan is a Tamil and a Malayali song lyricist. It is hard to find a native Malayali who has never heard any music composition or song made by this famous lyricist. They are very fond of his music and almost hear him regularly. The most popular and famous Malayalam music and song of 2014 was composed and written by Hari. The name of the song was Olenjali Curuvi. The lyrics of the song were so touching and soothing that it captured the attention of not only the young generation, but also the old people couldn’t resist themselves from loving this composition. Even the song Kaatumooliyo Pranayam was a great hit.

Ajay Gopal is a prominent playback singer and music composer in the Malayalam film industry and has a music career spanning over three decades. He has sung in many films like Radio Madhav (2019), Padmavyuhathile Abhimanyu (2019), Ideal Couple (2012), Breaking News Live (2013), and many more.  He was born on April 28, 1975, to his parents, Gopalan and Devaki, and has two siblings, Biji and Viji. He completed his schooling at Perambra Higher Secondary School and his college education in Malayalam from Sree Narayana Guru College at Chelannur in 1995. 

Unni Menon is a veteran playback singer who had enthralled the audiences with his melodious voice. He has sung in many Indian languages and he was one of the best classical singers who had a good combination with A R Rahman. He was born in Temple town of Guruvayoor in a middle class family. He had done schooling in Guruvayoor and went to Palakkad to continue his degree. Although this singer had shown a great enthusiasm in signing right from his childhood days, it was just a co-incidence that brought him to Indian film industry.

This god-gifted singer might not have hoped to become a singer at all although he used to sing right from he was young. As a commoner, he also did find a job in a vehicle factory in Chennai. Nothing was pre-planned. Neither, he had a formal training in singing nor any godfather, but his journey as a playback singer in Malayalam and Tamil movies were really path-breaking one. He had a journey of three decades in playback singing which even surprises him at times, but he considers it as total coincidence, as he grew up hearing songs of K.J. Yesudas and M. Jayachandran. He was never too ambitious to achieve a glory in playback singing. That makes him a total different from other singers of his era. He had done 26 songs for A R Rahman. His career too had benefitted from association with Rahman. Many of Rahman songs from films like ‘Roja’ still remain in minds of his audiences. Unni Menon has never been too ambitious but whatever he has achieved in his life makes him a very happy and satisfying person.

The only regret he has in the new generation music world that technology has taken over the music industry so much that quality level has gone down. This singer had always wanted to do quality work and he is indebted to all kinds of help he received from maestros of music world such as A R Rahaman or even Ilaiyaraaja. It was Kunjunni, a violinist in camp of music director Ilaiyaraaja who had introduced him to B. A. Chidambaranath, a music director, and Unni's musical career got launched in 1981–82.

If in Tamil movies he had a good combination with Rahaman, in Malayalam cinema, he had a good track with music director Shyam. Unni also turned music composer for the movie’ Sthithi’(2003), which still remains deep in the heart of music lovers even after a decade even. The good quality in his voice that it had deep melody and his pronunciation is always very much perfect. Whether it is for Ilaiyaraaja for 'Oru Kaidhiyin Dairy' or A R Rahaman for ‘Roja’, every song that he had got to sing, he had done full justice to it. He was born on December 2, 1955, and quite obviously this year (2015) turns out to be his 50th anniversary too. A remarkable feat indeed!

Yazin Nizar is a prominent name in the South Indian Music industry. He is an excellent Playback singer singing in various language movies which include Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies.

Jishnu Dev is an Indian Creative director, Flim-maker, and Visual Effect Supervisor. He provides the services of Animation, Visual Design, Ad Design, Video Editing, and Videography and is a Creative Director / VFX Supervisor / Filmmaker at Zebra Crossing Films, Mumbai. Previously, he was a Creative Director at Corridor Studios private limited, a VFX Supervisor at FXS Studios, and a Visualizer at BomTV. Jishnu did his Bachelor of Arts in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics, and Special Effects from St. Joseph College of Communication, Kursummoodu Changanacherry, and then did his Bachelor of Arts in Animation and Graphic Designing. He then did Specialization in Visual Effects of Film and Postproduction from FX School, followed by his FX Ph.D. in Visual Effects from FXPhD. Jishnu now describes himself as a Visual Effect Supervisor and Film Director with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry. He is skilled in Visual Effect supervision, Screen Play and Direction, Concept Development, Creative Visualization, Shot Division, Computer Animation, Pipeline Management, Post-Production Supervision, Composting, Editing, and Video Color Grading. He is also a strong Entrepreneurship Professional.

Salu K George is a professional South Indian art director. He has worked in many projects in the Malayalam film industry. Salu K George has done art direction for more than twenty films in Malayalam. He first started working as an art director in the year 1993. Salu K George is known for his movies including Vaasthavam, C. I. D. Moosa, Veruthe Oru Bharya, Meerayude Dukhavum Muthuvinte Swapnam, Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal, Punnami Ratri and many more. Salu K George was born on the 31st of January in the year 1970. His father's name is George Varghese and mother's name is Thankamma George. Salu K George has three siblings, two brothers, and one sister.

Sameera Saneesh is a South Indian costume designer and fashion designer who works in the Malayalam film industry. She was born on 27th June 1983. She is well known for designing costumes of Mammootty, Jayasurya, Prithviraj Sukumaran and other stars. Sameera hails from Eroor village of Ernakulam district in Kerala. Her parents are Ibrahim and Jameela. She married a software engineer named Saneesh K. J. on 26th November 2006. She learned drawing and painting from Kalabhavan Kochi during her school years. Sameera did an under graduation course at Bharat Mata College before joining a Fashion Designing diploma at the Nation Institute for Fashion Designing in Panampilly Nagar. After diploma, she worked as an in-house designer for “Raymonds” for some time before becoming a freelance costume designer for ad-films. Her first projects were the advertisements for “Saundarya Silk”. She rose to prominence due to her work in Seemas.

Shameer Muhammed is Malayalam Film industry editor who did his independent debut as an editor from movie Charlie in 2015. This romantic drama was directed by Martin Prakkat and was written by Prakkat and Unni R. This movie won 7 state awards in Kerala. He was born in Thrissur, Kerala, India. He started his career as an editor in 2012 by ad films and albums.

Ranjith Ambady is an eminent Make-up artist from India. He is well known for his prominent skills in the field. He has worked abundantly in the South-Indian film industry. His best-known work includes Thanmatra, Paleri Manikyam, Palunku, How old are you? and Takeoff. He has acted as a paragon of efficient completion of the task. Ranjith went to Veteran actor Ndumudi Venu’s residence, with the director Blessy, to read the script. The residence was situated at Thiruvananthapuram. Venu was supposed to play a role of 70 years old father, Mohanlal in the movie. While Venu was reading the script, Ranjith tried a look at Venu. He did not pay any heed to the look since he was busy listening to the script. Soon the visitors were welcomed to have tea and snacks in the dining room. There Ranjith witnessed several monochromic portrays of family members of Venu, hanging on the wall.

Ammanath Babu Chandran is popularly known as Idavela Babu.  He is a movie-serial artist, anchor, dubbing artist, event manager and a businessman from Kerala. Babu’s debut movie   Idavela was released in the year 1981. Babu was born at Irinjalakuda as the son of Mr. Raman and Mrs. Santa. Babu was deeply interested in dancing since his childhood and has won several prizes and scholarships. Joy Mathew has various feathers to his cap; he is an actor, director, writer and a political persona. But he is very humble in this real life. Hailing from an upper-class Christian family he had his initial days in Kozhikode. He initially joined Pune Film Institute but later opted for post graduation in Mass Media and Journalism. But films always remained his passion.

Joy Mathew has donned the role of a main villain in the biggest 2013 grosser-Amen. The flick Shutter is his debut directorial venture and it received great critical acclaim. This film gained international recognition and was bestowed with several honours. This movie was also well received by the audience. 

The 1986 flick Ammaye Kanan, in which John Abraham wielded the megaphone, had Joy donning the lead role. This film was lauded critically and it was adjudged as one of the best Indian films by British Film Institute. Then Joy was in a sabbatical for 27 years and re-entered the industry in 2013 and he donned the role of supporting actor as well as director. He has a distinction of working in 14 movies in 2013 and this indeed a commendable achievement. 

Sangeeta Nataka Academy and Kerala Sahitya Academy felicitated him for a couple of his plays. Athirthikkal, Pretoria-October 18, Sankadal and Chille 73 are some of his commendable endeavors as a playwright. Joy Mathew took vigorous involvement in some cultural groups. The Campus Theatre Movement is his foundation which was started in 1980. His contribution to Malayalam plays is over 20.

Mamukkoya also known as Mamu Koya is a popular cine artist and Malayalam comedian. He was born on July 5, 1946, to Chalikandiyil Muhammed and Imbachi Ayisha and is currently 69 years old. He has done over 450 movies in his career. He is a very simple and yet so talented. He did his primary school education from Calicut, MM High School.

Sudheer Karamana is a Malayalam films’ actor. Karamana Janardanan Nair’s first-born. He has two siblings, named Sunil and Sujay. He was born at Karamana in Thiruvananthapuram, and he studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom School.

Tini Tom is a famous Indian movie actor, TV awards presenter and also a mimicry artist. He was born on 1 February in 1972, and his birthname was Devassy. He began his profession as mimic.
