Plot

Prasanth, also called Pachu (Fahadh Faasil), is a 34 year old man who runs an Ayurvedic medical store with his assistant (Athlaf Salim) in Mumbai. He thinks to grow his business. For this purpose, he goes to Kerala. He is also going to see a girl for marriage. Things become interesting when an incident leads him to cancel his return flight to Mumbai.

Pachu’s building owner, Riyaz (Vineeth), asks him to travel with his mother, Ummachi (Viji Venkatesh), to Mumbai from Kerala. However, Ummachi wants to complete a task that her son disagrees with. While traveling to Mumbai, Pachu falls asleep, and Ummachi stops at Goa. Pachu learns she is in Hamsadhwani (Anjana Jayaprakash) house in Goa.

After reaching there, Pachu discovers that Ummachi wants to teach  Nidhi ( Dhwani Rajesh Bio coming soon... >> Read More... ), a lower-class girl. Her mother, Naani (Chaaya Kadam), worked as a maid in Riyaz’s house, and Ummachi learns that Nidhi is good at studies. However, the mother and daughter came to Goa due to some reasons. Ummachi makes an offer to Pachu if he helps her in the mission.

What will Pachu do now?

Star Performance

Fahadh Faasil gave a fantastic performance. He gave a very real performance. His conversations with his assistant (Athlaf Salim) entertain the viewers. With this performance, Fahadh proves that he is very talented.

Althaf Salim’s dialogue delivery, especially his one-liners, is superb. His expressions are very realistic. Viji Venkatesh gave a very mature performance. Anjana Jayaprakash gave an excellent performance on her debut. She is outstanding, especially in the emotional scenes. Dhwani Rajesh played her character with all the required emotions.

Analysis

Pachuvum Athbuthavilakkum is the debut film of director Akhil Sathyan. He has crafted each scene perfectly without losing its impact. It is based on the theme of girls’ education. There are many heart-piercing scenes in this film, and they might fill the eyes of the viewers with tears. Fahadh and Althaf add some comedy in both the first and second half.

The wide range of emotions make the film very realistic. The dialogue and overall storyline are excellent. The cinematographer excellently captures the beauty of Goa. Fahadh Faasil and the supporting cast made their best efforts for this film.

However, the film appears to be stretched. The runtime could be shorter with more perfect editing. After an entertaining first half, the film becomes slow in the second half. The second half moves slowly. The romantic scenes are not perfectly executed. Moreover, the film’s ending is predictable.

What’s There?

• Girl education.

• Comedy.

• Emotional moments.

• Fahadh Faasil’s performance.

• Althaf Salim’s one-liner dialogues.
