Rajini Murugan, which had been playing hide and seek with fans, is finally released in the theatres. And given that Sivakarthikeyan is basking in the success of films like Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam, Kaaki Sattai, let’s see what this film is all about.
Well, certain plots are better not explained in detail so that the audience gets to experience it on screen. The basic essence of the film is how Sivakarthikeyan, who is jobless, turns out successful in his love life and how he tackles the other odds of life. To enunciate this, there is a suitable story.
Siva Karthikeyan is one actor in Kollywood who knows the pulse of the audience. In Rajini Murugan, he has got a tailor-made role that he performs in a seamless manner. As for Keerthy Suresh, she does a convincing job, and her Madurai slang is worth mentioning. Soori takes care of the comedy, and he has done a neat job. Rajkiran, as usual, is at his best, and Samuthirani Kani proves that he can essay any role with perfection. Soori, Robo Shankar, and the rest support the film well.
The team of Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam has come out with another entertainer through Rajini Murugan. Perhaps director Ponram felt that it is better not to take any risk in the first half. He has prudently mixed comedy elements to cater to the tastes of audiences.
Music by D Imman, who is collaborating with Siva Karthikeyan for the third time, complements with the mood of the film.
Balasubramaniem’s cinematography deserves applause; he has shown Madurai in its full grace.
The second half is engrossing.
The comedy element is appealing in the movie with Siva Karthikeyan and Soori excelling in it.
What’s not there?
If you accept that cinema is a dream factory then certain logical flaws in the movie can be forgiven.
Watch it with your family and enjoy your Pongal holidays!
