Avanthika” is the horror comedy film directed by Sri Raj Balla. The film is produced by Tummalapalli Rama Satyanarayana under the banner, Bheemavaram Talkies. The horror comedy thriller has Shamna Kasim alias “ Poorna” in the lead role along with Sayaji Shinde, Geetanjali, Sri Raj, Shakalaka Shankar, Giridhar, Sampath, “ Dhanraj” and Ajay Gosh. Raviraj Balla composes the songs and the background music. The cinematography is by Karna.

Plot

Sri Raj shifts his base to a new apartment. He feels some super natural things happening around him. Sri doesn’t know that it was the place where an innocent girl named Avanthika was murdered. Avanthika is a rural girl, who had a lot of dreams to catch. Using this as his positive point, Ajay Gosh plans for a human sacrifice and brutally kills Avanthika for his upliftment. Sayaji Shinde supports Ajay in this regard. What happens to Sri Raj, who resides in the apartment? Did Avanthika use him to take revenge on the murderers? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Poorna has done her best in Avanthika. She has played in two different roles as an innocent village girl and the angry spirit. Poorna has shown a lot of difference for both the roles. Ajay Gosh and Sayaji had done their part perfectly as the villains.

Analysis

Sri Raj has chosen good artists and good genre. Although there are a lot of talented stars, Sri Raj’s narration is not good and hence their performance had gone in vain.

What’s There?

  • Huge star cast is the biggest plus in the film
  • Cinematography is okayish
  • Background music is good

What’s Not There?

  • Flat screenplay without any twists and turns
  • Sri Raj failed to execute the script, although he has talented actors

Verdict

The film seems to be an outdated horror comedy. It is out of the track and there is no significant point to suggest watching the film.
