V K Pavithran was a writer, director ,and producer who predominantly worked in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on the 1st of June 1950 in Trichur. His career spanned twenty-seven years from 1975 to 2002. He passed away at the age of 56 on 26th February in Thrissur. His directorial debut ‘Yaro Oral’ was a success. For that movie, he won several awards ,including the state awards for best direction, best editing ,and best cinematography.
He also worked as a lyricist for T.V. Chandran’s Krishnankutty. He won the National Film Award for the Best Regional Film for his movie, ‘Uppu.’
