Varada

Varada is an Indian model, TV anchor and budding actress from Kerala, now known for her title role in  Malayalam Serial Amala, aired on Mazhavil Manorama. She is a model turned TV anchor to film actress and now, mini screen actress. Emi, who is better known by her stage name Varada, hails from Thrissur district, Kerala. She did her schooling in Thrissur and has completed BA in Economics. During her school and college days, she was active on stage as dancer and performer. During her 12th grade, Varada did model for a calendar and advertisements, which opened ways for her to get into the field of anchoring. She was initially an anchor in local cable vision in Thrissur but soon started anchoring programs in reputed  Malayalam channels like Jeevan TV and Kairali TV. In 2008, Varada debuted Malayalam films as a heroine for the movie Sultan opposite actor Vinu Mohan.

The actress has also done a supportive role in the Tamil movie Ajantha in 2009 and a glamorous role as a heroine in the Tamil movie Kaadhalikkalama opposite Rajprabhu in 2012.  Varada was a familiar face to the Malayali TV audience as the anchor of a popular musical reality show for mappila songs, Patturumaal, telecasted on Kairali TV. She is now the anchor of another popular TV show for kids, Raree Rareram Raro, on Asianet Plus. The actress made her debut in TV serials as the female lead in Snehaveedu telecasted in Surya TV.

But, it was the latest serial, Amala, telecasted in Mazhavil Manorama, in which she is playing the title role, which got Varada her big fan following from the TV audiences. Varada is doing a great job portraying Amala’s life which is filled with grief and fighting odds. Varada bagged the Best Actress Award for Amala at the Manappuram Minnalai film & TV awards 2014. Jishin works as a relationship manager in the State Bank of India, apart from his acting career. They both got married in May 2014 in a simple wedding function at Thiruvanathapuram. Their wedding reception made news of having celebrated it with children undergoing cancer treatment at Regional Cancer Center Trivandrum. The couple lives in Thiruvanathapuram now.
