Vaishakh Somnath is a Malayalam musician and music director. He started his musical learning at the age of five. Vaishakh received training under many music gurus, Sri Puthumana Damodaran Namboothiri, Sri Vaikom Prasanth and Sri Perumbavur Raveendranath. From 2000 to 2005, he won several prizes in Carnatic and Light Music in State level Schools and higher secondary levels.
Vaishakh had a job as a Mechanical Engineer, which he left to make his career as a musician. He has his own band, The Free Fall, where he is a singer and composer. For over a decade, Vaishakh has learned over one-fifty kritis from different gurus and is still learning and gaining knowledge in kinds of music. He has worked on a new-age Carnatic folk album.
