Lonely Doggy

Lonely Doggy is an Indian Rapper, Songwriter, Singer, and Composer. He was born on 7 December 1988 in Kochi in the state of Kerala. Lonely Doggy’s real name is Joselin Sebastian. His father- is a cop and raised him with strict rules. For most of his young life, Lonely Doggy was a quiet and reserved kid who wholeheartedly focused on his studies. In 2010, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Engineering. Lonely Doggy’s passion for music stemmed from his father's collection of Western music and Michael Jackson albums that eventually steered him to hip-hop music and culture.

During his college days, Lonely Doggy met with a serious accident that threatened the amputation of his hand. While injured, he began to explore Hip-hop more deeply for comfort. Remarkably, he found a profound connection between the music and positive vibrations, which significantly aided his remarkable recovery, leaving his doctors astonished. Lonely Doggy began writing his own rap songs to express his angst and pain which led him on a journey of self-discovery. After making a full recovery, found his happiness in Rap and hip-hop because of the sense of identity and freedom it gave him. 

Lonely Doggy met with rappers across the country and was inspired to start performing his own songs at college events, which helped him gain recognition and support from his peers. Lonely Doggy chose his stage name because of his love for dogs and their loyalty. He also liked the word 'Dawg' from Hip-Hop culture, which symbolizes friendship and trust, so he combined these elements for his name. Together with another rapper from his city, Lonely Doggy formed a band named Rappahoelikz.

The Duo performed at Club FM and produced an album that they promoted by rapping on the street. In 2012. He has contributed to over 30 films in the Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada film industries.  Lonely Doggy has also engaged in international collaborations with artists from Algeria, Nigeria, Thailand, and Malaysia. Due to the unpredictability of a solo music career, Lonely Doggy still works in a Cyber Security Consultancy as a day job.
