Braga’s full name is Alice Braga Moraes. Braga was born on 15th April 1983, in Sao Paulo. She was born and raised in a Catholic family. She entered into the world of film industry because of her mother and her aunt, who were both actresses in the Brazilian Film Industry. Her mother’s name was Ana Braga, and her aunt’s name was Sonia Braga. She began her acting career a very young age. She appeared in many commercials and plays.

She first appeared on the small screen when she was just eight years old. She did a commercial for a yogurt company. After entering her teenage, she appeared in many movies and television. Braga speaks three languages which include Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Braga started her Portuguese movie career in the year 1998 when she appeared in a short play named Trampolim. After working in some movies and commercials, she continued her schooling. She got her first break in the year 2002 when she was cast for the role of Angelica in the movie, City of God.

The film was one of the most successful movies of the year 2002. Her performance in the movie was so convincing that she was even nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Role at the Cinema Brazil Grand Prize. After that, she took some time off the film industry to pursue her undergraduate studies. In 2005, she appeared in two South American movies named Lower City and Only God Knows. Both the movies did average business on the box-office. After that, she appeared in a Brazilian television series named Carandiru, Outras Historias.
