He competed with 99 other candidates to win that award and received a cash price of one lakh rupees along with a singing contract worth ten lakhs rupees with Rajshri Production. He is one of the most underrated actors of Bollywood. He has done excellent work in the directorial guidance of Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur. In fact, He is considered as one of jewels of Indian cinema. He was also seen in TV series Powder as Naved Ansari.
